Preparing for a Concert of Prayer

It is so encouraging to see the quality of leaders that the Lord is raising up here in the Caribbean.  As Peter Tigchelaar and I have been pouring ourselves into 15 young leaders here at the Caribbean Equip school, we are awed by the passion they have to serve God.

In this picture of our classroom you can see Shawn who is serving in St. Vincent working with the others as they plan a 3 hour prayer concert for this coming Saturday night.  It is one way that they are working out the training we have been giving them.

In today’s curriculum, the students are writing their own music to a favourite portion of scripture.  Then we will all be singing these new songs together to the Lord.  As well today is meant to be a practical day where we talk about the nuts and bolts of starting up a Prayer Centre on their YWAM base when they get back home.

Home base could be one of these places – Jamaica, Barbados, Surinam, Trindad, or St. Vincent.
